Apostle Renee Richards was born in Philadelphia, PA and
came to Christ at the early age of six. She was
ordained as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on
October 27, 1995 by Bishop, Gus C. Ford and became an
associate minister at House of God in Decatur, Georgia.
She designed the current church logo, served as mistress
of ceremony for numerous special programs, was the
Woman’s Day speaker in 1996 and directed the children’s
church which provided use of
her unique gift of teaching.
In
August of 1996, Apostle Richards became the
administrative assistant and subsequently an associate
minister for Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in
Lithonia, Georgia where she was responsible for weekly
bible study, regular worship service in the pastor’s
absence and children's church.
Apostle Richards returned
in 2000 to her former church home of New Birth Missionary
Baptist Church in Lithonia where in 1989 she originally
began her spiritual instruction. She served the
youth ministry and served as an alter worker for the
Woman Thou Art Loosed conference held at the Phillips
Arena, hosted annually by Bishop T. D. Jakes. During
this time, Apostle Richards developed and operated
strongly in
her prophetic gift and aided several clergy under that
leadership.
In early 2001, Apostle Richards was inspired
by God to found the teaching ministry, Armed To
Conquer, which focuses on the needs of God’s
people financially, physically and psychologically
supporting all through biblical guidance.
A
prophet heard from the Lord and prophesied all
about her past major sacrifices for the sake of the
Kingdom of God and present calling of the Lord
on her life on his first unplanned meeting with her. Apostle Renee Richards was ordained on
April 6, 2007 as an apostle/prophetess through
God's specific instructions to Prophet J. E. Knotts
of Prophetical Word Church. Literally, thousands of
angels (unexplained moving beads of light)
reported for duty on that spectacular night.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon this woman of God
and He utilizes various other gifts in this vessel such as
interpretation of dreams, visions, healing,
preaching
and (encouragement) exhortation just to name a few. She
is one spiritual powerhouse!

Apostle Richards is a published
author of her true story,
“Remembering To Forget”
which is expected to become a best-seller.

We at Armed To
Conquer believe what Jesus said, "Behold,
I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye
therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."

I met Jesus on St
Patrick’s Day, 1985 in a small dormitory room at
the University of the West Indies in Kingston,
Jamaica. I will never forget the feeling of
rivers of peace flowing through my soul, washing
away the darkness and loneliness. I soon joined
a church and started out as an usher. I then
progressed to the choir followed by a year as
church administrator.
My first
exposure to drama was the play,
Via Dolorosa
(Latin for "Way of Grief" or "Way of
Suffering"). The play covered the journey
Jesus
took in the last hours of his life from the time
he was questioned by Pilate up to his crucifixion
on the cross and burial.
I
played the part of Barabbas, a role where I was
dressed in nothing but an adult diaper! I was
onstage for all of 15 seconds.
God used this
humble beginning to stir in me an anointing in
the performing arts. I was soon writing, directing and acting in 3 minute evangelistic
plays that we performed in the high schools and
the college campus. There is nothing more
satisfying than seeing young people make a
decision to serve Jesus. One of the plays that I
co-wrote with a friend was televised, and I was
invited to write a radio series. A few months
later I migrated to Atlanta.
A number of years
went by before I found a church that would
receive me. I joined the drama and IT groups and
developed short prophetic plays that we
ministered during Sunday service. On one
occasion we did a three part mini-series. One of
the dramatists recognized the similarity between
her life and that of the character. In both
situations the husband had been away for many
months. When she reached the part where her
character prayed to God for the return of her
husband, she substituted her real life husband’s
name. The church wept when they heard her. When
the dramatist playing her husband came on stage,
she literally jumped into his arms (which was
not in the script), calling her true husband’s name
and the church rejoiced. Within two weeks, her
real life husband returned home and came to church.
The commitment to
radical obedience to God’s Word was not there,
and I accepted Apostle Renee’s offer to join
Armed To Conquer in 2006. I started out serving
in the areas of media and IT. I eagerly looked
for opportunities to serve the woman of God and
to advance the vision of this ministry. And through
studying under and with this true prophetess, God has
seen fit to allow me to serve in the role of
pastor to this great church family. I was
ordained as a minister of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ on December 31, 2008, after
successful completion of ATC's
Minister-In-Training/Spiritual Awakening 2008.
On
December 31, 2009, after I endured a brutal test of my
faithfulness to God's spiritual plan for
me, I was ordained as a prophet of The Living
God. My gift of prophesy has since been ignited
and is His validation of the man that
He has called me to be. Now, my daily encounters
with God are quite overwhelming to me
I must admit. Only the Lord
could see for my destiny what I could not
see for myself. Other pastors saw my potential but never
cultivated it. I thank God for Apostle Renee’s
obedience to the Word of God and His will for my life!
